| In this era of massive consumerism and intense market competition a country’s strength truly lies in its economic independence and stability. In such circumstances, women around the globe have been playing a pivotal role in boasting the economic growth of their respective countries through active participation in various fields of business and commerce
Keeping this in mind, a women entrepreneur cell was setup in the Sialkot Chamber and Commerce and Industry in 2005 by Dr. Nouman Idris Butt (president SCCI 2005-2006) to mobilize the female women of SCCI.

| Objectives |
| To encourage, support and facilitate entrepreneurship among the women of Sialkot.
To provide women with a platform from which they are able to vice their problems and concerns and finding ways to assist them.
To act as liaison with TDAP , Ministry of Commerce and other National / International Organizations, Trade bodies and Educational Institution etc.
To assist and guide women entrepreneurs in their interaction with Financial Institutions, Governments Functionaries as well as their business counterparts.
To engage in social welfare activates specifically towards creating job / career opportunities for women and promoting women empowerment.

| Mission |
Our mission is to promote and help the intelligent and capable women, which constitute 50% of the total population of our country, to join mainstream activities in Trade & Industry.
Since 2005, the Women Entrepreneurs Cell (WEC) has organized, participated in and supported various activities in order to achieves its goals.
Created a separate office for WEC and appointed a female assistant secretary in SCCI.
Visited and worked with the other chamber of commerce on a variety of issues faced by Women Entrepreneurs.
Organized seminars in Commerce / Business Schools to encourage new entrants and introduced them to the supporting facilities provided by the WEC. |

| Departmental committee |
A Departmental Committee on Women Entrepreneurs was formed which meets on monthly basis with a view to achieves the above mention objectives.
